Bykea is a Pakistan based app offering motorbike transport, deliveries, commerce and payment matchmaking

services on its marketplace platform. Over 4 million registered users drive utility from Bykea in Karachi, Lahore and

Rawalpindi. With the recent launches of our convenience commerce and payments categories, our team is

expanding rapidly.

We are looking to expand our data analytics team, and are looking for someone to manage the data

analytics to develop actionable insights to enable the Bykea leadership team to optimize business growth,

develop cost-efficiencies and identify opportunities for expansions or strategic shifts.

Therefore, you must absolutely love story-telling through data, asking the right questions yourself, working without

prompts, and developing insights for others to digest easily. Data visualization, probing and digging deep into

data, and highlighting opportunities that are not immediately apparent is all something that you will be expected

to do.


1. Define, instrument and maintain new and existing business critical metrics, using SQL queries and beyond

2. Serve as a strategic thought partner to the data engineering team; collaborate on building / maintaining

ETLs, pipelines and automations to ensure we can understand and act on business performance

accurately, scalably, with low latency, and minimal manual upkeep

3. Run experiments and develop dashboards and data visualizations to communicate results to leadership.

4. Answer complex business questions via ad-hoc SQL queries to enable business and product owners to

make critical decisions.

5. Integrate insights from different sources of data to develop a holistic market and consumer

understanding that is actionable and impactful for category and brand strategy

6. Produce and distribute reports to relevant internal departments analyzing data and highlighting key

areas of interest

7. Coach the functional data analysts (distributed across different functions) - developing capacity of

these analysts to create in-depth analysis, automations and visualization for their respective functions


1. Degree in Computer Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics or related field

2. 2 years of relevant post-education work experience in analytics, business intelligence, market research

or related field

3. Experience gathering business requirements, using industry standard business intelligence tools to

extract data, formulate metrics and build reports

4. Experience using advanced SQL and databases in a business environment with large-scale, big data,

complex datasets

5. Experience with statistical modeling and analyzing large data sets

6. Preferred experience in python, R, data visualization tools and automation
